Terry L. Murphy Scholarship Award

Rules and Procedures

1.  The Applicant must be a High School senior who has played at least four years with the Stark County Girls Softball Association.

2.  Terry Murphy Scholarship Award will be available only to a girl in a good standing attending a college or university of six credit hours.

3.  This scholarship is intended to help those who have played with the Stark County Girls Softball.

4.  The Terry Murphy Scholarship Award will be for one academic year, i.e., two semesters or three quarters, and will be used only for educational purposes. 

5.  Any awardees dropping out of school before completion of a term for which Terry Murphy Scholarship was awarded, shall repay the Scholarship in proportion to any fees returned by the school. 

6.  The selection of the awards shall be made by a committee set up by SCGSA.

7.  The selection committee will submit the results to the executive board of SCGSA.

8.  The selection committee will award two $500.00 scholarships. 

9.  Scholarships will be awarded after receiving proof of acceptance to the college or university no later than August 30th of their starting school year.

10.  Applications must be turned in to Brent Metzger, Committee Chairman, no later than June 30th.
