Tryouts!
All 9 year olds and up must try out. 12 year olds are the only ones guaranteed to make a Majors team. Players who do not try out will be placed on a team in a "hat pick" and will not be allowed to play up. Players need to arrive a few minutes early to sign in, and need to bring a glove and bat to tryouts. Tryouts are held at our complex.
New for February 6th: Times below are for both Softball and Baseball players!!!!

11 & 12 year olds at 10am
10 year olds at 11am
9 year olds at 12noon
Registration IS still open!!
We are still open for registration AT ALL LEVELS - let your friends know!! Registration forms are posted here under the "handouts" tab. You will need all four forms listed under "Registration". Contact sue.lutz@verizon.net to find out how to turn in the forms and payment, if you want the forms emailed to you, or if you want hard copies of the forms. Online registration for 8 year olds and below will remain open through the end of February. Players 9 years and up must register with the paper forms.
*A reminder that "League Age" may be different than the player's actual age, and is set by Little League Headquarters. Under the Handouts tab to the left are the Baseball and Softball Little League Age Charts - please be sure you are looking at the correct chart for your player!A few registration items you should know:
- If you are unsure whether you met the volunteer requirement for last season, please email sue.lutz@verizon.net to check. An email will be sent out shortly reminding those whose requirement is still unmet, with details about the volunteer requirement and policy.
- There is a new Washington State Law this year regarding youth sports and head injuries and concussions (The Zackery Lystedt Law). You will receive information about this new law, the League policy and a consent form at registration. If you register online, you will receive this information prior to your child participating in any tryouts, practices or games.
- Total out of pocket registration expenses have not increased from last season!!
- There is a $5 credit card processing fee for walk-in registration.
- 3 or more players in a family receive a 10% discount on the total player participation fees.
- Players age 9 and up need to bring a copy of their birth certificate or submit prior to practices in order to participate.
- We make every reasonable attempt to honor comments/requests. Any written requests submitted at registration will be reviewed in order of date received. We do not guarantee to honor any comments/requests.
- Mandatory tryouts for players age 9 and up are held at the South Snohomish Little League complex on Sunday, January 31st from 12pm - 3pm and Saturday, February 6th from 10am-1pm. You need only attend one tryout.
- Majors players are not required to participate in tryouts, and are considered property players and will return to the same team. If you wish to participate in the draft, a tryout is necessary. Please idicate at time of registration if you intend on going back into the draft, or send an email to sue.lutz@verizon.net to notify the League of your intentions to do so.
- The Volunteer Policy and requirement remain the same this season - 4 hours volunteer time at the League level per family. There will be a new section appearing on the website soon regarding volunteer activities. Watch for it soon!
UMPIRES NEEDED!!
Please consider becoming a League umpire! We are in need of parents willing to serve our League as umpires. Games from the Rookie level up require umpires, and the League is seeking people interested in helping in this area. We provide free training workshops, uniforms and rule books. Please consider serving our League and players in this area. If interested, please contact our Umpire in Chief, Mike Jones at michael.j.j@comcast.net.
Umpire training is scheduled for February 27th & 28th. Training is FREE and both days are required for the training. Please contact Mike for more information and to reserve your spot.
