Jeff Kardel was apponted as the manager of the Somerset Senior Girls Softball League, 14-U Magic Travel Team, by a vote of the Board of Directors on October 01, 2009.

The Bobcats, sponsored by the Somerset Press Club, won the league championship for the 2009 softball season. Congratulations go out to Manager Bob Costa and his coaches Bob Chicon and Liz Correia and the players on the Bobcats. 

 The Lions, sponsored by Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson, won the 2009 Steve Courcier Memorial Round Robin Tournament. Congratulations go out to Manager Ray Rosario and coach Hans Gabriel and the players on the Lions.
