TIGERS ARE 2011 TOWN CHAMPIONS - COUGARS ARE 2011 PIC COURCIER MEMORIAL CHAMPIONS
The Tigers are the 2011 Town Champions, of the Somrerset Senior Girls Softball League, at the Roy & Alma Ashton Sports Complex, for the second consecutive year. Congratulations to the Tiger players and manager Jake Roberts, and coaches Peter Cabral & David Roberts.
The Cougars are the 2011 Pic Courcier Memorial Champions, of the Somrerset Senior Girls Softball League, at the Roy & Alma Asgton Sports Complex, for the second consecutive year. Congratulations to the Cougar players and manager Ryan Magoni and coach Jeff Kardel.

Deepest Sympathy
It is with deep regret that we notify all our Somerset Senior Girls Softball League friends of the untimely passing of our friend and long time concession stand manager Irma Roberts. As many of us know Irma and her husband, Ronnie, were extremely dedicated members of this league for many, many years.
Irma was a good friend to the league, the players, players parents and umpires.
Her presence at the club house during league games and tournaments will be sorely missed by all who came in contact with her through the years.
Please keep Irma and her family in your prayers and thoughts through this difficult time.

TIGERS are 2010 TOWN CHAMPIONS - COUGARS are 2010 COURCIER MEMORIAL TOURNEY CHAMPS
The TIGERS, won the league championship for the 2010 softball season, defeating the LYNX. Congratulations go out to Manager Jake Roberts and his coaches Peter Cabral and Dave Roberts and the players on the TIGERS.
The COUGARS, won the 2010 Steve Courcier Memorial Round Robin Tournament, defeat-ing the Bobcats and Panthers. Congratulations go out to Manager Ryan Magoni and coach Jefff Kardel and the players on the Cougars.

IN HARMS WAY FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM
A special note of appreciation to former Cougar Coach Carol Decambra, who is serving with the Massachusetts National Guard in Afghanistan during this softball season. The Board of Directors wishes her well and and expresses our hopes for a safe return.

Jeff Kardel to coach 14-U Magic travel team
Jeff Kardel was apponted as the manager of the Somerset Senior Girls Softball League, 14-U Magic Travel Team, by a vote of the Board of Directors on October 01, 2009.

BOBCATS are 2009 LEAGUE CHAMPIONS - LIONS are 2009 COURCIER CHAMPIONS
The Bobcats, sponsored by the Somerset Press Club, won the league championship for the 2009 softball season. Congratulations go out to Manager Bob Costa and his coaches Bob Chicon and Liz Correia and the players on the Bobcats.
The Lions, sponsored by Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson, won the 2009 Steve Courcier Memorial Round Robin Tournament. Congratulations go out to Manager Ray Rosario and coach Hans Gabriel and the players on the Lions.

The League welcomes Gary Mello as a coach
Gary Mello will be moving up from the Somerset Independent Softball League, at the Water Tank, and will be coaching a 14B travel team at the Roy & ALma Ashton Sports Complex during the 2011 playing seson.
