2004 SABL League Tournament
YANKEES SHIPROCK AMATUEUR BASEBALL LEAGUE TOURNAMENT RUNNER-UP

The SABL Willie Mays League Tournament Started on Saturday June 12 with the Stingers beating the Pirates and the Yankees beating the Mets. In Round two in the elimination game it was the Mets and the Pirates. This one was close early but the Mets come out on top the Pirates were eliminated. The upper bracket pitted the Yankees and Stinger. This one was a lopped sided game in which the Stingers beat the Yankees. So there are 3 teams left the Stingers, Yankees, and Mets. On Monday June 13th the Stingers and Mets played to a thriling game which was won by the Stingers 9-8. So, this pitted the number 1 and 3 teams in the league the Yankees and Stingers. This was the Championship Game. This game was close and it ended with the Yankees taking by forfeit due to line-up errors that were made by the Stingers Head coach. So, this meant that the championship game would be played on Wedneday June 16th. This game it was all Stingers who now will represent Shiprock in the state tournament in farmington. Kalen Henderson was picked up by the Stingers to join them at the state tournament. Congraduations to the Yankees for a great season.
