Jakey Wentzel, 12th, midget boys 80-meter hurdles (13.23); Jakey was also a national qualifier in the long jump
Jessica Solomon, 12th, midget girls racewalk (9:27)
All four of these national Junior Olympic qualifiers were gold medalists at the Region 2 Junior Olympics and Billy Stanley set a regional record with a huge throw of 185 feet!

Tyler Rigby won the Three Rivers Association championship in the intermediate boys 1500 meters (4:31).
Hanna Rigby won every race all season in the midget girls 80-meter hurdles, including the preliminary heat at the Three Rivers Association championships, until she tripped on the last hurdle in the association finals.
General Information The South Park Track Club is a youth club affiliated with the Three Rivers Association of USA Track and Field. In 2008 the club had 130 members from age 7 to 17.
Our home track is at South Park High School, 12 miles south of downtown Pittsburgh, Pa. Athletes compete in six age groups; sub-bantam (age 8 and under), bantam (9-10), midget (11-12), youth (13-14), intermediate (15-16), and young men and women (17-18).
The South Park Track Club has had 29 national Junior Olympic track and field qualifiers in the last three years. In the 2008 season we were blessed to have four record-setting athletes and 13 national qualifiers.

The South Park Track Club is governed by a board of seven members. All are parents of club members. Their varied interests ensure that the club remains responsive to the needs of all athletes, from the recreational to the elite level.
