Summer season at Brisbane Softball, Downey Park - is well under way and last few games are after Xmas before finals commence.
Sign On for winter will be Sunday 8th Feb AND Sat 14th Feb from 9am to 1pm at Meakin Park. FIRST FIXTURE DAY IS MARCH 21ST 2010.
We are looking at fielding teams in 2010 for:
Mens
Womens A Grade x2
Womens B Grade
Womens C Grade
Girls U17 x2
Girls U15 x2
Boys U15 and/or U17
Mixed U13 x2
Mixed TBall

Springwood Softball Club is affliated with Brisbane Softball Assn (BSA) in summer at Downey Park and Logan City Softball Assn (LCSA) in winter at Meakin Park, Slacks Creek. ALL trainings are at our own grounds, Underwood Park, Rochedale.
The LCSA is one of the fastest growing competitions in Sth East QLD and with several players playing in the most recent State Titles 2008 and 2009 wins in the Under 16 age division. Lucy Lockhart from Logan is current members of Springwood Softball Club in the Australia U19 women's squad.
Junior Development
Our club once again took a team to the USA in June 2008 and this being a large part of our junior club development, with tours taking place in 1994, 1996, 1998, 2006 and 2008, with another planned for 2010 already. Logan City rep coach, Tracie (TEK) Kemp organises these trips every two years for the club and can be contacted on the club's email for more information if interested. Many of these tour members from the two recent State Titles U16 wins, were members of the 2008 touring team and gained some very valuable experience from the many games played and also coaching clinics from some very experienced USA College coaches at clinics that were held for them.
Club Mission Statement
The mission statement of the Springwood Softball Club Inc is to work in partnership with the citizens of the Springwood, Logan City and surrounding areas in providing sporting, recreational and enrichment programs for the purpose of improving the quality of life for our youth and their families.
