Spring Grove Boys Volleyball: My Site News: Mark Charles Hartman
Mark Charles HartmanDate of Birth - September 16th, 1987
Passing - April 28th, 2003
Mark's volleyball career with Spring Grove was bright, but all to brief.
Mark participated as a Middle School student in many of the open gym activities offered by the coach of the Rockets at the time, Chris Stock, along with his staff which included, Ben Hess, Bill Goodfellow, Chad Holler, and on limited basis, Bill Hahn.
Mark was an athletic, driven, gifted player during his short tenure.
Mark died in a car accident on April 28th, 2003. He was 15 years young at the time of his passing and in his freshman season with the Rocket Boys' Volleyball Program. In addition to participating in volleyball, Mark spent his time working on his family's farm. Mark was also a member of the New Fairview Church of the Brethren, the Spring Grove JV volleyball team, and the Spring Grove High School Chorus.
Mark will forever be a part of Spring Grove Boys' Volleyball as he was taken from us way too soon. We remember Mark each year with a JV tournament for younger players to learn to develop and gain experience being aptly named "Heart of a Champion JV Challenge".
Mark will forever be in our hearts as well.
