" SPRINGFLING " SPECIAL FEATURES

 Over the course of its fifteen years, " SpringFling " has continually strived to provide services (in a remote location ) that would equal or surpass what the team and its coach would expect to have at its home site.  Although this can be very difficult, it is a goal of " SpringFling " to be able to provide quality services that our competitors are not able to do.  Look at the special features :

*          VIDEO   GKD has always provided each team with a video copy of the game at its conclusion. First, with VHS tape. Recently, with miniDV digital tape. As of 2011, we will be able to provide a DVD to each coach as soon as the game ends. We will also have the original miniDV tape as a backup for any reason that might arise. GKD uses quality Panasonic cameras and a SONY DVDirect burner. Our videographers have extensive experience taping games. All games are taped using a quality tripod from elevated positions at midfield. We feel very strongly that " SpringFling " video reproduction is the best of any of the spring training sites.

*          UMPIRES    Well, there aren't many coaches who will always be thrilled at the quality of officiating in any situation --- but we have been so very pleased over the years to have heard so many positive comments about the people whom we employ to umpire the games. Our collegiate umpires have been coming to " SpringFling " for many years, from all around the country. They are conscientious and concerned, and very committed to the sport. We purposefully house the umpires in proximate locations and they drive to and from games together. Many evenings are spent in endless discussions about rules, situations and procedural issues. " SpringFling " umpires are remarkably professional, well prepared and fully committed to the games that take place at our venue. For this, we feel that " SpringFling " umpires surpass all other spring sites.

*          STATISTICS        In 2009, " SpringFling " committed to full coverage of the statistical side of your spring trip. STATCREW software was purchased and installed on press box computers. We also trained several staff members to become expert in the entry of women's lacrosse statistics. We created a full address book with all of the Sports Information Directors at each " SpringFling " team.  We extended our National Acess contract so that we are able to instantly access the SIDs and send complete STATCREW files to each school as soon as the game ends. Coaches receive full 5 page printouts of the game statistics before they leave the field, and before the team is back at the hotel the school SID has received full information about the game.  The SIDs have been very appreciative of GKD efforts and we are delighted to be able to help out.  Our most significant aspect of all of the statistical improvements we have made is the fact that the immortal Chip Rogers ( the guru of women's lacrosse statistics nationwide ) has become a " SpringFling " fixture and is fully involved in the entire statistical operation. None of the competing spring sites are able to match " SPRINGFLING " for complete, concise and timely statistical feedback to coaches and sports information directors alike.

*          EVENT INFRASTRUCTURE     The combination of All World Wide Travel, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and JBS Destination Solutions provide an outstanding support base for all teams to rely upon. Saving money is hugely important now to all schools, the three vendors that " SpringFling ' has affiliated with for many years are able to provide years of experience and knowledge in assisting coaches with reservations and finding bargains. All coaches are looking for ease of operation in making reservations and saving money. The three companies listed above are tremendous at dealing with our teams on a consistent basis. *          ON - SITE DIRECTORS & STAFF     Gene DeLorenzo and his " SpringFling " staff  are always on-site, fully experienced and totally invested in the operation of the event in Palm Beach County.  No other spring site has a Director and staff with the experience and inner knowledge of the workings of the event as does " SpringFling ".

*          MINI-TOURNEYS in 2011            NEW!  for 2011.    A new  twist to  " SpringFling " scheduling,  2011 will have the unique wrinkle of scheduling mini-tourneys within the event to add excitement and interest to the action. No other spring training site will feature this unique and exciting aspect to the day to day game action.

*           PALM BEACH COUNTY SPORTS COMMISSION AND PBC RECREATION DEPARTMENT   Few, if any, spring training sites have the outstanding backing and leadership as does " SpringFling " in Palm Beach County, Florida. GKD is very fortunate to have a direct line of communication with one of the finest sports commissions in the country. Palm Beach County Sports Commission has been ' hands on ' with " SpringFling " since its inception in the county in 2004.  Palm Beach County Recreation Department has been highly supportive of the event since its full move to Lake Lytal Park in 2007 and continues to provide quality field space and the opportunity to fully conduct the event with NO OTHER sports entities using the park during the entire month of March.
