HOME OF THE COWBOYS

The Cowboys are a part of The West Toledo Lightweight Football League, where youth in the West Toledo area play football. Our ages range from 9 - 13 year olds and must weigh under 140 lbs. This is where the kids from Springfield Township come to learn football and have fun doing so. We hope you enjoy our site.

    Cowboys drop season opener to the Broncos

    The 2009 Springfield Cowboys dropped their season opener against the McKinley Broncos. The young but talented Cowboys fought hard but eventually fell to the Broncos 25-12.

    Saturday, September 19
    Cowboys fight hard but fall short

    The 2009 Springfield Cowboys gave all they had but fall short in their effort. The Redskins defeated the Cowboys 20-14. Next opponents will be the Jets.

    Saturday, September 26
    Cowboys lose third straight

    Cowboys lose their third straight game to the Whitter Jets by a score of 6-26. Shorthanded and tired the Cowboys could not stop the Jets running game. Next opponent RC Redskins.

    Saturday, October 3
    Turnovers halted Cowboys drive to win first game.

    The Springfield Cowboys turn the ball over three times giving the RC Redskins another victory.

    Saturday, October 10
    Turnovers once again defeat Cowboys

    The Springfield Cowboys turn the ball over four times giving the Longfellow Steeler another victory.

    Saturday, October 17
    New look Cowboys earn first win of the season
