  SAA LACROSSE.....

General SAA registration is held in Jan. You must be registered by the Feb. deadline and attend at least 1 tryout to be eligible to play spring travel lacrosse. Try outs for the Spring 2010 season will be held @ the end of October beginning of November (exact dates/time/location TBD).The website will be updated by October 10th 2009.

  • Annual Parents Meeting will be held in February. Information re: tournaments, equipment, practice, games, necessary paper work will be discussed at this time. Date and time will be posted in late January
  • Lacrosse season begins in March.....Opening Day is typically the first weekend in April!!! 
  • The SAA does not offer intramural lacrosse with the exception of the the 2nd/3rd grade clinic.
  • The 2nd/3rd grade clinic meets 1x a week on Saturday afternoons @ 3:00pm. 
  • The purpose of the clinic is to introduce the girls to the game of lacrosse in a fun, non-competitive environment.

Club Lax Teams

Club Lacrosse is for the "Serious" player. Each club has various requirements/age and financial commitments.

The SAA it's coaches and Director do not endorse any particular club and the clubs are in no way affiliated with the Springfield AA.

A Guide to Area Teams

The following is a list of Girls Elite Teams in the Philadelphia Region and their respective web sites; we hope to add to this list as we identify more organized girls travel teams:

  • Ultimate Goal Lacrosse -- Ultimate lacrosse club was created to develop individual and team skills in young female athletes that want to take their game to the next level. The club wants to provide an atmosphere that is fun, exciting and competitive. It's coaches encourage our athletes to take risks.
  • PA Express -- The PA Express mission is to educate, encourage and promote the growth of women's/girls' lacrosse, while preserving the integrity of the game. It is a premier lacrosse organization sponsoring Women's/girls' teams from Southeastern Pennsylvania. The team seeks to positively impact athletes by encouraging sportsmanship, respect for players, coaches umpires and spectators and by providing these athletes the opportunity to achieve their potential.
  • SEPA - Southeast Pennsylvania Lacrosse Association -- The Southeast Pennsylvania Girl's Lacrosse Association is a volunteer organization which was formed in 1996 in order to provide an opportunity for girls of all ages and talent levels to participate in and experience the game of Lacrosse. SEPA Girls Lacrosse Association is a member of US Lacrosse
  • The Phantastix: The Phantastix are middle school and high school tournament level teams composed of serious lacrosse players who demonstrate great promise, who desire to improve their playing skills and techniques, and who are committed to the sport of lacrosse. The Club strives to develop character, build confidence, and increase the self-esteem of its members through an instructional and supportive team environment.
  • Lenape Premier Lacrosse Club - Lenape Premier's focus is helping elite high school lacrosse players from southeastern Pennsylvania, south Jersey and Delaware make the transition to the next level. Lenape Premier is a year round program that exposes its players to top level competition and the college recruitment process. Lenape Premier participates in almost every major showcase tournament held in the region.For more information, plesae visit the Lenape Premier web site.
  • Penn Premier All Star Girls Lacrosse - Penn Premier is a program is designed to offer middle school and high school girl's a next level of play and skill set, while having a great time in a team environment that fosters sportsmanship,creativity and builds confidence. The team and its coaches are based in the Pottstown area and will serve the girls of the Spring Ford, Owen J Roberts, Boyerstown, and surrounding districts. We are a group of female athletes that love the game of lacrosse and are striving to build the game and the girls in our community, by offering them top college level coaching, turf fields for practice and life long memories that will carry them for years to come.   • Cyclones Lacrosse Club: Cyclones Lacrosse is a southeastern Pennsylvania competitive club girl's lacrosse team that provides the opportunity for girls who have the desire and potential to become talented lacrosse players to excel in their high school, and then later, college programs. The team selects to participate in summer tournaments that are a competitive challenge to these young athletes so that their skills improve and their understanding of individual and team concepts mature. The program strives to make sure that each girl develops her lacrosse skills while still maintaining a fun and encouraging atmosphere.
