North Suburban Baseball Conference (NSBC): Welcome

We want to announce that the Spring Fever Baseball League (SFBL) has transformed into the North Suburban Baseball Conference (NSBC). The Vernon Hills Cougars Youth Athletic Association is the new league commissioner and I'm being assisted by Chris Walls.
More importantly, we also want to let you know that the NSBC still has openings for teams in age groups 9U through 14U. This is an opportunity to play with communities such as Arlington Heights, Deerfield, Glenview, Gurnee, Highland Park, Highwood, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Niles, Round Lake and Vernon Hills among others.
Our season runs April 9th through June 6th consisting of 16 to 18 games, with an additional post-season tournament starting June 9th. We hope to put together a pre-season tournament or have the entire league kick-off the season with everyone playing their first two games at the Vernon Hills Athletic Complex (VHAC). The VHAC boasts some of the nicest fields in Illinois featuring dugouts, pitching mounds, grass infields, scoreboards, lighted fields, full concessions, and indoor bathrooms. Some age divisions may also be able to play the season ending tournament at the VHAC. Trophies will be presented for regular season awards and post season awards.
The 9U & 10U divisions will operate with Friday night and Sunday games. The first two weeks and last two weeks games will be hosted by Vernon Hills at the VHAC. A 10 to 12 game season is planned with 6 to 8 teams at each of these levels. Get your after house season teams some early games!
The fees for the 2010 season are $245 per team for 9U & 10U and $340 per team for 11U - 14U. These are due by February 15th, 2010. The scheduling meeting is on Sunday, March 14th at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at a location to-be-determined.

All payments and proof of insurance are due into league offices by Monday, February 15th. Please make checks payable to "VHCYAA" and mail to the following address. Be sure to include somewhere in the envelope or on the check what team and age group the payment is for.
