Umpire Recruiting
SCLL is recruiting umpires for the 2010 season. Please consider joining our all volunteer force. The League is offering the following incentive. If you volunteer to umpire, attend training and umpire in at least 8 games (in the fall season), one child's registration fee will be refunded. For more details please contact our Umpire in Chief, Robert Simpson, at umpire@spotsyll.org.
To volunteer fill out a volunteer application and return it to us with a copy of a picture id. You can mail it to us, scan and email it to us, or bring it to one of our in person registrations.
Umpire Training
If you have never done it before, umpiring can be intimidating. SCLL offers several training sessions before each season to ensure new and returning umpires are comfortable on the field. Training sessions for the spring 2010 season and will be held scheduled soon.

Umpires, Coaches, Players, and Parents -- do you think you know the rules? Check out this umpire quiz that was put together by the North Redmond Little League in California. Be sure to select the No Local Rules Option since our local rules could differ from their local rules.

Little League Umpire Registry
The Little League Umpire Registry for 2010 is open. It is a great way to keep up on rules, the mechanics of the game, and get helpful information from other umpires. The registration fee of $25 provides you with the following:
- Copies of all Little League Baseball Rule Books Baseball and Softball Rules,
- Electronic Edition which you download from a website.
- A copy of The Umpire in Little League
- A copy of Little League Baseball’s The Right Call
- An official Little League Baseball Registry Identification Card, Certificate and Patch
- Online Subscription to The Umpire Registry Newsletter, Fair Ball
- A listing in the Little League Baseball Registry of Umpires
