Thank you for your interest in Spotsylvania County Little League. Everything that you need to register for the Spring 2009 Season is listed here. If you have any questions on the information or requirements please contact the SCLL Player Agent at playeragent@spotsyll.org.
1) Spring Registration Form – Please fill out in its entirety and turn in at one of our in-person registrations or mail to us at our address below. Cash/Check is accepted at our in-person registrations or via mail. Credit Cards are accepted only via our online registration.
2) Code of Conduct – Please read and sign at the bottom of the form. Turn in at one of our in-person registrations or mail to us at our address below. Online registrations will accomplish this during the registration process.
3) Residency Eligibility Requirements – Little League has chartered Spotsylvania County Little League to operate within the boundaries of the County of Spotsylvania. Each player must be a legal resident of Spotsylvania County. Residency is established by providing 3 proofs of residency from the items listed in this section. Families must show 1 proof from at least 3 of the categories. Note, three utility bills do not suffice as three items. These must be shown before your child can take the field for the Waiver Assessments, Player Showcase, or Practice.
4) 2009 Little League Age Chart for Baseball – A table to determine your child’s official league age for 2009.
5) Proof-of-Age Requirements – Little League requires every child to provide proof of age to the local league. SCLL must maintain a copy of the child’s proof of age on file as long as the child is participating in SCLL. Please bring your certified birth certificate and a copy of it to registration. We will compare and certify the copy and give back the original. This must be shown/provided before your child can take the field for the Waiver Assessments, Player Showcase, or practice.
6) 2009 Age Waiver Request – SCLL provides the opportunity for parents to request an age waiver for their son/daughter to play in a division other than their age appropriate division. All requests must be submitted to the SCLL Player Agent in writing by February 16th. Request received after that will be denied. All players requesting a waiver must attend the Age Waiver Assessment on Feb 25/26 to be evaluated. No requests are guaranteed, including manager and coaches children.
7) Little League Volunteer Application 2009 and Manager / Coach Addendum – Little League requires every person who provides regular service to the league or who has repeated contact to the children to undergo a background check that, at a minimum, includes a Sex Offender check. Filling out this form is mandatory before volunteer service is allowed. Social Security Numbers are required and will be protected. The forms are shredded at the conclusion of the league year in September.
8) Little League Baseball and Softball Medical Release – This form must be filled out and turned in to your child’s manager before taking part in any practices and/or games.

Hit-A-Thon Forms
Spotsylvania County Little League conducts an annual Hit-a-Thon to serve as the only fund raiser for the league that involves the kids. It is desireable that each child in the league participates and raises funds for the league.
During the Hit-A-Thon, each child hits off a tee and throws the ball for distance. Trophies are awarded for the longest hit and longest throw. The top fund raiser also recieves a prize. This is a fun way to raise money and provides an opportunity to challenge your family, friends, and neighbors to help raise funds to support SCLL.
