SportsTech Players in Pro BallBrandon Phillips, out of Redan High School, was the first SportsTech Player drafted and signed by Major League Baseball. He was selected in the second round in the 1999 Draft by the Montreal Expos. In July 2002, he was traded to the Cleveland Indians.
Amad Woods, also out of Redan High School, was selected in the ninth round of the 2000 Draft by the Atlanta Braves.
Reggie Fitzpatrick, out of McNair High School, was selected in the fifth round of the 2001 Draft by the Montreal Expos.
Edwin Jackson, out of Shaw High School-Columbus, Georgia was
selected in the sixth round of the 2001 Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Chris Colton, out of Newnan High School was selected in the twentieth round of the 2001 Draft and was signed as a Draft to follow in May 2002.
Miles Carpenter, out of Pickens Co. High School was selected in the
thirty-ninth round of the 2001 Draft and was signed as a Draft to follow in May 2002 after attending Young Harris College for one year.
