Community Sportsplex / BC Lacrosse Club Leagues
This site contains information for leagues and programs being offered at the Community Sportsplex and will also have on-line registration information for some of the programs. Click on the league or program above to be taken to that specific website. Welcome to the Community Sportsplex Leagues and Programs Website. Community Sportsplex is the operating name for Southern Tier Sports & Recreation Development Center, Inc., a 501(c)(3), not for profit corporation organized in New York State. The Community Sportsplex operates lacrosse, field hockey and soccer leagues for players of all ages, two travel clubs, the BC Lacrosse "Groggers" Girls Travel Club and BC "Cyclones" Field Hockey Club and is in the process of developing a junior golf program. The organization runs programs from leased space in an indoor facility on Robinson Hill Road in Johnson City and owns and is currently constructing facilities at the site of the old Conklin Sports Park on Conklin Road in the Town of Conklin. Community Sportsplex Driving Range Now Open!
Community Sportsplex is pleased to announce the opening of its Golf Driving Range on Conklin Road in Conklin at the site of the former Conklin Sports Park. The 300+ yard range offers both mats and grass tees. Through a generous donation from the Maines family, the Sportsplex acquired 33+ acres of land at the site of the former Conklin Sports Park, next to the new Town of Conklin Community Center. In addition to the driving range, a new 2,500 sq. ft. community center and education facility is being constructed to support a new Sportsplex youth golf program and youth and adult educational program. All proceeds from the driving range will benefit Community Sportsplex programs. Long range plans for the site include the addition of outdoor athletic fields and a permanent building to house two indoor turf playing fields. |
