The Major Division is our most competitive level of play within the LL structure. The division age level is from 10 to 12. The typical team will be made up of 1/2 12's , 3 11's and 2 10 year olds. Although the players will continue to grow their baseball skill and knowledge, we still focus on playing the game for fun. At this level 12 players are picked to represent SBLL in the LL tournament ending in Williamsport, PA, in addition to more tournaments specific for 11 year olds, and another tournament for 10 year olds.
All 12 year old players are required to play in Majors.
This level is mainly for 8-11 year olds. While continuing to focus on player development, the training is done at the practice level. The teams play 2 games per week along with a team practice. With a few exceptions, full Little League rules apply to this division. Although the players will continue to grow their baseball skill and knowledge, we still focus on playing the game for fun.
