What is speed? Speed is the quickness of movement limb, whether this be the legs of a runner or the arm of a pitcher. Speed is an integral part of every sport. What is Speed influenced by?
Speed is influenced by the athlete's mobility, strength, endurance, elasticity, and technique. How do we develop Speed? Speed is developed by incorporating many different methods/components. The range of motion in the hips is crucial for great speed. If the hips are tight your stride length and frequency will be negatively affected. In addition, you will not be able to utilize the strong back side of your hips that are responsible for most of the power from the lower body.
It is important to know that the improvement of speed is a process which is controlled by the brain and central nervous system. At ABC we work on many aspects to improve and increase speed performance, some of which are and not limited to:

We are dedicated to the success of each and every participant. Whether or not you are trying to lower your 40 time, get to a loose ball faster, get to first base faster, be more explosive, whatever your goal is we can help. Going after that scholarship we can help. Today more than ever before there is a huge need for speed and we can help. Sessions are $30.00 dollars each. Sessions can be done in groups or individually, we can work in your schedule.
