Special Hockey of the Lehigh Valley Polar Bears

Special Hockey is a program that gives individuals with special needs and developmental difficulties the chance to play an amazing sport in a way that's suited to their individual abilities. Programs like ours have been successfully running for years in cities all across the state, country, and Canada. These special teams have brought the great sport of hockey to hundreds of players with Autism, Down syndrome, brain injuries, and other cognitive disabilities that may have prevented them from playing otherwise. Not only are participants learning a great sport and having fun doing it, but they are also improving their motor skills, social skills, and building lasting friendships in a safe and supportive environment.

Our mission is to bring these opportunities and more to the Lehigh Valley with our team, the Lehigh Valley Polar Bears. We are always open to interested players and participants. If you or anyone you know is interested in Playing, Coaching, Volunteering, Sponsoring, or learning more...Please Contact Us.

No prior hockey experience is needed and any boy or girl over the age of 5 is welcome to participate.

We are registered with USA Hockey and ASHA, the American Special Hockey Association
