Sparta Blue Wins 2006 President's Cup - U9 Division
Last weekend Sparta Blue won the 2006 President's Cup in the U9 age Division. Their first game was against USA Strikers and the final score was 4-0. The second game was against USA Raptors 98 and it ended in a 2-2 tie. They won the third game (semi-final) against Sparta Burnett 06 by a score of 3-0. The Championship game was played on Saturday, October 14 against Murray Max which Sparta won with a score of 7-1. The tournment record was 3-0-1, scoring 16 goals in 4 games and giving up only 3 goals. Congratulations Sparta 98 Blue!

Sparta 98 White Gives Great Performance in 2006 President's Cup -- U10 Division
Sparta 98 White played up one year in the 2006 President's Cup and made it to the Semifinals. The first match was againt Utah Rangers Academy 97. Sparta won this match with a score of 1-0. The second game was against Murray Max Alliance and they also won this match with a socre of 7-0. The third match was against Utah Rush 97 Nike II and Sparta won by 3 goals to 1.
The fourth match with the semifinals against Sparts 97 Black. The match was evenly matched throughout. Sparta 98 White was ahead 2 goals to 1 with just minutes remaining in the game. Sparta 97 Black scored -- sending the match to overtime. This semifinal match was the first of the day for Sparta Black and the second match of the day for Sparta 98 White and their was a big difference in the energy level between the two teams during the over-time period. Sparta Black ended up scoring 3 goals on the worn-out Sparta White team --winning the match by a score of 5-2. Congratulations goes to Sparta 98 White for a great performance playing up one year!

Sparta 98 Blue Wins Rampage Classic 2006 Tournament
Congratulations to Sparta 98 Blue for winning the Rampage Classic 2006 Tournament! Teams and Scores of pool matches: Sparta Blue 11 vs Rampage SC 0; Sparta Blue 3 vs Wolfpac TL 0; Sparta Blue 12 vs Rampage JS 1. In the championship match Sparta Blue played Wolfpac TL. It was a great game to watch and Sparta won with a score of 3-1. During the tournament Sparta scored 29 goals and had only 2 goals scored against them. Yeah! Sparta Blue 98!
