In order to get things moving for the 2009 Fall and 2010 Spring season, a meeting will be held on Tuesday, August the 25th, 2009 at 7:00 PM at the AMBUCS PARK GYM 1110 Highfalls Road Griffin, Georgia Only eligible members of Spalding County Little League Baseball will be eligible to vote for the Board of Directors that will be selected at this meeting. In order to become a voting member of Spalding County Little League, you must fill out a volunteer application that is available online at www.littleleague.org or you may pick up one of these applications at the Spalding County Parks and Recreation office. There will be a $1 fee for each application for membership. Any adult person who is actively interested in furthering the objectives of the Little League may become a regular member upon election and payment of dues. There will be seven officers elected at this meeting that will comprise the Little League Board of Directors. • President • Treasurer • Secretary • Player Agent • Safety Officer • Information Officer • Coaches Representative Any person wishing to hold one of these offices or to volunteer as a coach, umpire, scorekeeper, or any other type of volunteer is subject to the requirements as stated in the Spalding County Little League Bylaws, to the rules and regulations of Little League International, and to a background check for any criminal activity against a minor. Other requirements as required by the Spalding County Department of Parks and Recreation will also apply.
