Saturday, December 13
BOWL-A-THON

This is an all club event.  We want to raise enough money for all the teams to rent 12 passengers van for Pacific NorthWest Qualifier in Spokane.  This way parents do not have to worry about transportation arrangement for your daughters.

We want to encourage everyone include your friends and neighbors to come out and bowl with us on Saturday, January 31 2009:

  • Location:  Lynnwood
  • Time:  T.B.D.
  • Cost:  $15 per person (Advanced ticket).  Five dollars ($5) more at the door.

We will collect $15 from each player at their 1st practice in January to cover for bowling lanes rental fee.  Then each player will have an opportunity to purchase ADVANCED tickets for their families, friends, and neighbors...  This money will go toward 12 passengers van rental fee.  The more money we raise, the less the parents have come up in March.  The target is $3000.  We are welcome donation, even if you can not join us on Saturday, January 31 2009.

We anticipate a GREAT FUN TIME and hope you can join us!

Please contact Sandra Anderson (425.870.7307) and Zoon Phan (206.963.8337) for more information.

Mariners
Monday, December 15
Seattle Mariners - 2009 Season

What is it?

SNVF reserves 10 to twenty (or more) Mariners 2009 season home games helping our parents fund raise for their daughters Volleyball related activities.

How does it work?

  • You select and inform Zoon Phan the home games you wish to work.
  • Show up at the designated time.
  • Mariners pays SNVF (approximately two weeks after the game)
  • 100% of earned money goes directly to your daughter's account.

How much can I earn?

The Mariners pay $60 (minus $3 liability insurance) per person per game.  You can earn as little as $57 per game or as much as a few thousand dollars like many of our parents.  For example, on Monday April 6 2009 (Opening game) if you have 10 people in your group, you earn $570 ($600 - $30 insurance) for that one game.

Can I continue to fund raise after Volleyball season end?  Where does the money go?

Yes.  You can apply the money to these areas:

  1. Optional tournament in Orlando.
  2. Next season.  A few parents eanred enough money for this Volleyball season from 2008 Mariners fund raise between July to September.
  3. If this is your last club year, you may want to consider using the remain money to provide scholarship for other needed players.

Let Raquel know where you wish to use your money.

Do I need a permit?

You need to have a food handling (16 years or older) and Alcohol (21 years or older) permits.  The Mariners will provide trainings before the season started.  More information will be posted at a later dates.  Or you can contact your local Health department for more information.

  • Food handling permit is good for two years.
  • Alcohol permit is good for four years.

Is there a dress code?

  • Black or dark pants
  • Closed toes shoes

Which home games designated for SNVF parents?

Zoon will pick the home games at the end of January.  This is a great opportunity to you to inform Zoon the home games you like to participate.

How do I sign up?

Email Zoon Phan at vdad98034@yahoo.com with these information:

  • Dates
  • Number of people in your group (1 to xx)
  • Number of adults and minors.
  • Shirt size for everyone (Mariners provide)

Remember everyone must have permits to fund raise with the Mariners.
