Fuze going for the Best 16 in the Nation.
Today fuze playing for Gold Division and TOP 16. We are doing great 5-3 overall have played 21 sets in 2 days. The guys are on top of the World. All of the top college coaches are watching them take down the clubs from around the nation. We are difinitely the fan favorite and underdogs. We started at # 39 seed and have made huge steps.
All of the coaches and spectators are routing for us and suprise at our sucess. We have several boys moving on to play at college next year ie. Ramsey Neville-George Mason, James Dorr-Limestone and HP Championships, and several younger guys like Dominic Van der Jagt U14 and Matthew West U15. We have Thies Kettlesen, Max Ozuna, Josh Tag returning from last year and first year players Tim Bolan, Pete Biencourt, Sam Homer who are all contributing to the teams overall success.
The Spaceneedle Volleyball Foundation have gone to a National Championship for the last 2 years and the Boys have not disappointed. We consistently win more than we lose, and that is saying a lot for a group coming from a State with 80-100 Boys playing and no High School league. For a State with no Boys Volleyball, We have Boys with a lot of Heart who are playing at Nationals and taking advantage of what they can not do in Seattle. Last year we finshed 27 out of 52 teams in Sandy Utah.
First day: 1-2 overall. We were very tight and nervous to start the tournament. We went 3 games with two teams and went 3-5 sets
Second day: 4-1 overall. We were much more relaxed and did great in the Challenge Bracket winning 2 matches in the early morning and 2 more matches in the afternoon and 1 loss in our second pool play.
Third day: Pool play yet to come tonight. We play against #4, #6 and #9 seeded teams. we started at #39
Fourth day: Finals.
