Schnecksville Playground Association requires criminal background checks for all participating coaches and assistant coaches. In order to ensure the privacy of our volunteers we have chosen PATCH as our service provider. The volunteer visits their website and inputs their name, date of birth and social security number and the results are provided ONLY to the volunteer. PATCH will issue a No Record Certification Form that should be printed and given to the appropriate SPA Sports Coordinator. The Volunteer should also keep a record of the Control Number issued by PATCH.

The fee for this service is $10 and is paid for by the volunteer via credit card on the website. SPA has chosen this method so that we have no record of our volunteers’ Social Security number or any negative results that may be reported. At this time, our By Laws do not permit us to reimburse volunteers for this expense. If this fee is a concern, please contact the Sports Coordinator to determine if a reimbursement may be possible under our Hardship Program.

The background check is valid for one year and can be used for other SPA sports.

The PATCH website address is: https://epatch.state.pa.us/Home.jsp

To protect the interest of SPA and the services it provides to its members, no volunteer shall be permitted on any field or court without proper PATCH verification".
