It was a great way to end the season, as the Diamondbacks clawed and struggled their way to the National League Finals, losing a close one in the bottom of the 6th inning to a very talented Padres Team, 5-4.
The 8th seed Diamondbacks were 3-1 in the post season, winning 7-4 against the Astros in the pouring rain, 3-1 in 7 innings to the #1 seed Marlins, spotting the #3 seed Brewers 10 runs before coming way back to a 17-10 Semi Final victory.
We suprised a lot of people, starting our season 1-4, only to turn it around and go 7-2 over the last 9 games.
Every single player on the Team has shown much improvement in talent, and learned how to be a good teamate, and have fun! For the coaches, there is no greater compliment than to hear from the other parents, "Boy, your team sure has a great time out there."
We did have fun, and we will see you all somewhere in the future, and we will be able to say to each other, "Remember what we did when we were Diamondbacks..."
