Gendreaus vs Rose and Vickies

Thurston pitched a solid game and was backed up by good defense in the infield and outfield.  Putting the ball in play and smart base running on offense closed the door vs R & V.   Oxsen and Christian both hit homeruns.  Whitman did a fantastic job behind the plate in his first Major Division game debut.  For the second game in a row, Schmidty prevented extra runs from scoring with golden glove defense at 3B.

We've started the season off playing very good baseball.   Keep up the good work.  Lets keep our bats swinging, gloves ready and heads up on the base path.

April 27

Great start to the 2009 Season last night.  We had a strong perfomance from Brian Christian.  He pitched 5 innings, struck out 14, gave up no runs and no hits.   Christian Kenny came in in the 6th.  He got Anti to hit a dribbler to Oxsen, playing catcher, and threw him out at first with Wilson making the catch.  Kenny got the second batter to K and the last batter hit a line drive to the short stop for the last out.

With two on in the first, Schmidty hit a double and drove in both runners.  In the third, Oxsen walked, stole second and third and made it home on a passed ball.   B. Christian got to third on a line drive to the fence.  Schmidty came up with another double and scored Christian.

Kennels scored on a passed ball in the 4th inning making it 4 to 1.  B. Christian hit a triple in the 5th and Schmidty sacrificed to get the RBI in.

Final Score 5 to 1
