South Orange Little League: J.U.M.P. Jr. Umpire Program
South Orange is proud to provide its Junior Umpire Program, J.U.M.P.
The purpose of this program is to develop skilled umpires while providing
an opportunity for our youth to continue in the baseball/softball program
even though they may no longer be participating as players.

Our young people will develop baseball knowledge and personal confidence as they progressively take more control over the Little League game process in dealing with players, managers, coaches and scorekeepers.
The program is being offered to boys and girls who are Little League ages 13-17 who are current or former players from any division of South Orange Little League. There will be a one day training clinic where future umpires will learn the basics on rules and the mechanics of where to position themselves to 'Make the right call.'
Upon completion of the training, the new junior umpires will be assigned to 1 or 2 games per week.
