The 45+ Division in 2008 consists of eight clubs (Burlington Athletics, SJ Phillies, Winslow Senators, Edgewater Park Indians, Chichester Phillies, Cinnaminson Reds, Maple Shade Mariners and SJ Red Sox). The top SIX clubs will make the playoffs, with the first and second place team receiving a "bye" for the first-round, single-elimination games. Those would be played as follows:

SATURDAY, AUGUST 2nd

• 6th Place at 3rd Place (losing team eliminated from playoffs)
• 5th Place at 4th Place (losing team eliminated from playoffs)

SUNDAY, AUGUST 3rd

• Lowest Remaining Seed at 1st Place (1st game of best-of-three series)
• Highest Remaining Seed at 2nd Place (1st game of best-of-three series)

This series continues with Game #2 on Saturday, August 9th. If a third game is necessary in either case, that rubber game would be Sunday, August 10. If NO third game is necessary in either case, Game #1 of the finals would begin on Sunday the 10th, continuing into the following weekend, and so on.

If at all possible, we will play these latter games ONLY on Sundays, as long as we are able to complete the playoffs no later than Sunday, August 24, as the following weekend is Labor Day.

Additionally, if BOTH teams agree, Saturday playoff games MAY be replaced with a Sunday doubleheader of two 7-inning games. But BOTH managers MUST agree to this contingency or no such change will be allowed. The single-elimination games, however, MUST be played on August 2nd, or at the earliest weekend opportunity.
