South Gate Youth Football & Cheerleading will celebrate 20 YEARS of service to the boys and girls in our community.  We are proud of this accomplishment and we continue to make CHILDREN our "number one" priority as we focus ourselves in this new year...a year we will become the SOUTH GATE AZTECS. 
We will continue to bring the same "quality" as a youth sport program to our players and cheerleaders as we evolve ourselves as the mighty Aztec Warriors.  Please read the articles below and the reasons behind this change after 19 years...

AS OF TODAY (JULY 23, 2009) WE ARE JUST 4-DAYS FROM OUR FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE....ARE YOU READY? 
See what's important to know before we start our day one practice....
  • PHYSICAL DAY - SUNDAY - JULY 26, 2009...
    It is a requirement for all registered players and cheerleaders to attend this event!  WHY?  
    -We provide a doctor to conduct your child's pre-participation physical (as required by the OCJAAF), and whereby you will be required to bring $10 cash for this physical.  
    -Because your child's physical must be hand written onto your child's participation contract.  This way we can ensure all contracts are cleared for day one practice.  We will also require the parent's sigature & initials on your child's contract. 

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS ON PHYSICAL DAY...
  • All Players & Cheerleaders must pay the balance of their Registraion Fee.
  • All Players & Cheerleaders must pay their Spirit Pack ($60).
  • All Players & Cheerleaders will be weighed-in as a requirement of their physical.  BUT, for "tackle" players...your weight will determine which team you will be assigned to.  You cannot weigh more than 10% of the maximum weight for any team. 
  • Football Players will be issued partial Spirit Pack: T-Shirt & Shorts. 
  • Football Players will be "pre-fit" for their Game Jersey & Game Pant
  • Cheerleaders will be fitted for ther uniform, and must pay their 1st installment on this date.
  • Cheerleaders will also be "pre-fit" for their spirit pack. 
  • Parent/Legal Guardian signature & inititals will be required on your child's contract. 

LOT'S TO DO & LOT'S TO GET DONE....THESE ARE THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS THAT MUST BE FULFILLED IN ORDER TO ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO PARTICIPATE IN PRACTICE.

WHAT TO WEARGym-type Shorts & T-Shirt, Flips/Thongs, Cheerleaders please wear bathing suit under shorts/t-shirt. 
WHAT TO BRING
Please be prepared to pay all required fees as stated above.  Please also bring an "original" birth certificate, utility bill (football players only) and a copy of your most recent report card

HOW TO REGISTER?
In 2009, we will celebrate 20-years of service to the youth in our community.  And although we are no longer the South Gate Rams, we are still the same program with the same great leadership.  We encourage you to register your child early, as our teams are already beginning to fill-up.  We are currently seeking and interviewing head coach candidates for the following teams...as of July-16-2009:

WHAT IS THE SPIRIT PACK?

RETURNEE CHEERLEADER
Due to the change in becoming the AZTECS, a new uniform had to be designed so as not to be in similar look as the SG Rams.  Although we will still carry the main color or red and black, our accent color is no longer white, it is metallic gold for the cheerleader and Las Vegas Gold for the football uniform.  The total uniform cost is $382, $38 less than year's past. The Returnee Cheerleader who had previously invested in a new uniform in 2007-2008, will receive a one-third (1/3) discount and will pay $255 for their complete uniform (this is strictly a courtesy to the returnee cheerleader and the organization will need to subsidize the $127 discount offered). We expect to keep this uniform look for the next 7-10 years

We also offer a payment option of 4-months, versus 3-months as in year's past. 

UNIFORM INCLUDES:  Vest w/Emblem, Body Liner, Skirt, Briefs, Warm-up Jacket & Pant, Shoes, Briefs and 2-Poms.
