Southern Indiana Spikes: Fields/Locations/Directions
Here you will find descriptions & directions to some of the baseball fields the Spikes Teams use for practice, games and tournaments.
2) Dale Fields
Dale baseball/softball fields are located just behind the Dale Community Center & Library in Dale. Take Old US Hwy. 231 (Washington Street) into Dale. Turn East at the Subway resturant on to Hammond Street. Go east two blocks to the Dale Community Center. You will then see the Library and the Community Center straight ahead. Go straight ahead into the parking lot and go around to the right of the community center. As you go around back, you can then see the fields from there. Some parking is available on the north side of the library.
You can also access the field off of East Medcalf Street. Go about five blocks east of the stoplight (at old us 231) on Medcalf Street and turn north on Dunn Street. Go about 2 bolcks and you will see a large parking lot on the west side of Dunn Street and you can see the fileds at that point. You can park there.
Three lighted fields, batting cage, concessions and restrooms available.

3) Jack C. Fisher Park -Owensboro, Ky.
Jack C. Fisher Park is host to several tournaments the the Spikes teams participate in.
To locate Jack C. Fisher Park:
Going South on US Hwy. 231 from Spencer County, take the new US Hwy. 231 Bridge into Kentucky. It will approach Owensboro from the east side. Just as you pass the McDonalds restaurant, turn left onto the Owensboro Bypass. Take the Bypass around to the south west side of town. Take the Carter road exit. Go up the off ramp and turn right (going north) onto Carter road. Go north on Carter Road until you get to 5th street. Turn left (west) on 5th street. Jack Fisher Park is about 1 mile down 5th street on your left (south side of road).

4) Yellig Park -Santa Claus, Indiana
Yellig Park is located on west side of State Hwy. 162, just 1/2 mile north of Jct. 162 & 245. This is physically located just 1/2 mile north of Holiday World Amusment Park in Santa Claus, Indiana.
From I-64. Take exit 63 (Highway 162) off of Interstate 64. Go south apprximately 5 miles. Turn west on Ashburn Lane. (You can see Holiday World's Voyager roller coaster from this intersection) The ball fields are visible from highway 162.
From Owensboro, Kentucky. Take US Hwy. 231 to Indiana Highway 70. Turn east and go approximately 6 miles and turn north on Indiana highway 245. Go approximately 8 miles to the intersection of highway 245 and Indiana 162. Turn right (north on hwy 162) and go approximatley 1/2 mile and turn west on Ashburn Lane.
From Tell City take Highway 66 west to jct Hwy 70. Veer right onto Highway 70 from Hwy 66 and continue west on hwy 70. Go approx 2.5 miles and turn right (north on Hwy 245) and go north approximately 8 miles to the intersection of highway 245 and Indiana 162. Turn right (north on hwy 162) and go approximatley 1/2 mile and turn west on Ashburn Lane.
The complex includes three lighted baseball/softball fields, Soccer fields, basketball court, fitness trail, concessions, batting cage, picnic shelter, playground, and rest rooms available. Lake Rudolph campground is next door as well as Holiday World amusement park. Historic Lincoln State Park and National Park are 4 miles away.

Machine Pitch/Softball Fields. Take US Hwy. 231 into Chrisney. Turn east on High Street. Go three blocks, through Oak Hill Cemetary, you will then see the fields on your right.
9-12 Live Pitch Field. Take US Hwy. 231 to Chrisney. Turn east on Locust Street. Go two blocks to Church Street. Turn left (north). Go approximately 200 feet, turn left into Chrisney Elementary School drive. Go past the front of the school and the field will be just behind the school. You will see it on your right.
Three fields, two are lighted, batting cages, concessions, and rest rooms avaiable at both locations. Fields are operated by the Chrisney Youth Sports Organization (dba Chrisney Summer League).

Directions to Murray, KY Hotels & Ballfields from Spencer County, Indiana: Take your choice of highways to get on the Western Kentucky Parkway. Take the Western Kentucky Parkway west to the Purchase Parkway. Go south on the Purchase Parkway to Benton, Ky. Do not take the first exit at Benton (Hwy.348), go to the second Benton exit, which is the Hwy. 641 By-pass. Go south on Hwy. 641 from the Purchase Parkway (about 20 miles to Murray) As you enter Murray from the north side on Hwy. 641, the Holiday Inn Express & the Amerihost Inn will be on your left, Shoneys Inn on your right.
To go to the baseball fields, continue south on Hwy. 641 (which is 12th St.) past the Holiday Inn Express. Pass through three traffic lights (after the Hotels). After the third light, but before the fourth light, turn left onto ARCADIA CIRCLE street(this is just past the Cracker Barrel resturant on Hwy. 641 (aka 12th street). Arcadia Circle takes you straight to the ball fields. The fields will be on your left.

Nashville Tennessee Airport Marriott Hotel
This is the official Hotel of the Donelson Sportsplex. There are several tournaments throughout the year held at this location.
Directions to Nashville Airport Marriott Hotel
From Owensboro Kentucky, take the William Natcher Parkway to Bowling Green, Kentucky. At the end of the William Natcher Parkway, get on I-65 South and take it to Nashville, TN. Take exit 90B, turn right onto ramp (right) onto Briley Parkway. At exit 7, turn right onto ramp. Turn left (north-east) onto Elm Hill Pike. Turn right (south) onto Ermac Drive. Turn right (west) onto Marriott Drive to Nashville Airport Marriott.
Donelson Sportsplex is very close to the Marriott. There are several fields which could be used so directions to each field are not listed here.

Noblesville Youth Baseball Fields

The fields are located near Noblesville, IN, just 7 miles north of Indianapolis
Noblesville Youth Baseball's "Field of Dreams" is located at the back of Hazel Dell Elementary School in Noblesville, IN. Hazel Dell Elementary School is on the south side of Westfield Road (State Road 32) between Gray Road and Hazel Dell Road.
From Carmel/Westfield: Navigate to the intersection of State Road 31 and State Road 32. Head EAST on State Road 32 for about 2.9 miles. Hazel Dell Elementary School will be on your RIGHT.
From Downtown Noblesville: Head WEST on State Road 32 from the old courthouse. Hazel Dell Elementary is about 3 miles away on your LEFT.
From Indianapolis: Navigate to Indy's North-East Corner (Go to the intersection of I-465 and I-69). Take I-69 NORTH to Exit 5 (State Road 37). Take State Road 37 NORTH for 6.5 miles to State Road 32, turn LEFT (west). Go about 4.5 miles WEST. Hazel Del Elementary is on your LEFT.

To locate Panther Creek baseball fields:
If you are already in Owensboro, Kentucky, and you know where the Moonlite BBQ resturant is. From there, go west on Parrish Avenue out of Owensboro across the Owensboro bypass 4-lane Hwy. and continue for about 1 mile. You will come to an intersection with all "mergers", veer left and take Ky. Hwy. 81 South. Travel south on that road about 2 miles. You will see signs that say "Panther Creek Park, Turn Right". Take a right on Wayne Bridge Road (this road is right next to a small white building on your right). From there go about another 2 miles, stay on that road, and it will take you right to the park and ballfield complex. It will be on your right. You can see the ballfield light poles as you near it.There are signs along the way.

Southern Indiana Spikes Athletic Center
Generally speaking, The Spikes center is located in east-central Spencer County, Indiana. (or just 5 miles south of Santa Claus, Indiana). The facility has some openings for outside team practices and individual workout sessions. Contact Brad Fella for more information on reserving your time slot.
Take whatever highways you need to get to Hwy 245 that goes through Lamar Indiana. If you are coming from the north (Santa Claus/I-64 area) take highway 245 south through Lamar. Go south of Lamar 1 1/2 miles to County road 1100 North. (there are also green signs at 1100 north stating you turn there to go to the town of Evanston. Turn left (or east) and go 1/4 mile. The Spikes Athletic Center is on the left (north side of blacktop road). If you are coming from Tell City, Indiana or the Owensboro, Kentucky area, make your way to highway 70 and go to the intersection of highway 245 north and 70. Go North 3 miles to county road 1100 N. (there are also green signs at 1100 north stating you turn there to go to the town of Evanston. Turn right (or east) and go 1/4 mile. The Spikes Atheltic Center is on the left (north side of blacktop road).

From I-275 take exit 63B (St. Rt. 32 East towards Batavia)
At the first stop light; turn left onto Glen Este-Withamsville Road.
Go to the second stoplight at the end of Glen Este-Withamsville Road.

Travel approximately 1/8 mile on “Old 74” until the first stop light and turn left onto Tealtown Road.
