Frequently Asked Questions About the Spring Season.
1. Who Can Play?
Players of all ability are welcome to play in the SCYL program, and we especially encourage new players to try the game.
2. When does the season start?
The spring season officially starts on April 1, 2009, which is the first day we are able to get on the fields.
3. When and where are practices?
Practices are twice a week starting at 5:30 p.m., and run usually to 7:00 p.m. The exact days and locations of practices for specific age groups will not be determined until after registration closes. Practices are typically are held at Curtis Corner Middle School, West Kingston Park, Narragansett Elementary and/or Middle School, and South Kingstown High School. This season we have secured indoor space for March, and anticipate having practices on Saturday morning in March.
4. When and where are the games?
Games are held on Saturday morning and are usually done by Noon. Typically, we have eight games, 4 of which will be played on our home fields, and 4 away games at other locations throughout Rhode Island. The season ends the first week of June, 2009.
