June 8 - SOUTH BAY MEETING
Our meeting starts at 6:30pm our annual puppy trial... in preparation for the real thing at Open House. Please do your best to be on time so that we can get all of our puppies through the puppy trial and still have time for the meeting. See you there!

June 13 - GDA Open House and Puppy Trials
Once a year, visitors are invited to tour the 7.5 acre GDA facility, see a guide dog demonstration, and observe puppies-in-training as they maneuver through and obstacle course of distractions. The schedule of events is:
- Puppy Trials: 11:30 - 2pm
- Guide Dog Demonstration: 1pm
- Silent Auction all day; Closing is at 2:30pm
- Tours (every 30 min)
- Raffles, Food, and Merchandise all day

GDA RAINCOATS:
If you have ever walked in the Downey Christmas parade in the rain, then this is for you! A raincoat for your puppy with the GDA emblem on it. If you'd like one, fill out the order form and send it in.

CRAFTS NEEDED FOR OPEN HOUSE:
GDA is looking for crafters to contribute items to the Craft Booth at Open House (June 13). They are considering not having a booth this year since the last several years have been mostly purchased items that were donated. If they are able to get it back to the original craft spirit, they will have the booth... if not, not booth. So, get your creative craft juices flowing and donate some fun stuff for sale at Open House.

PUPPIES NEEDED FOR KISSING BOOTH:
Is your puppy a kisser? We don't generally encourage this from our puppies... but at Open House, we really need some enthsiastic puppies for the Kissing Booth. This is a really fun fund raiser that the South Bay Group runs each year. If you think your puppy would be good at this, let Matt and Amy know at the next meeting. Amy will ask for a demo of your puppies abilities... she claims this is to be sure that your puppy will kiss someone they don't know... but, just between us, I think she just likes the puppy loves.
