May 18 - RIDE FOR GUIDES
Last years ride had almost 500 riders in attendance and we're hoping that this year's Ride will be even more successful!
Please join in for this very fun, puppy-filled event, with raffles, lunch, and lots more! Ride begins and ends at GDA. Help get the word out and pass along the registration form to anyone you know that loves to ride. (For more information contact Lorri Bernson at (818) 833-6431.)
June 7 - BIG DOG PARADE
What better way to spend a day summer day than in Santa Barbara by the beach! Look here for more info on the parade.
Louise will be sending out another flyer about the event to all the puppy raisers. But, if you just can't wait to join the GDA group in the parade, you can e-mail Sha for more info. (Sha has requested that your subject line include "Big Dog Parade" or she may consider it spam.)
June 9 - SOUTH BAY MEETING & PUPPY TRIALS
The meeting starts at 6:30pm with our mock-puppy trial in preparation for Open House. Any nervousness you're feeling "travels down the leash" so this is a great opportunity to work out your jitters before the big day.
June 14 - GDA OPEN HOUSE
Come celebrate GDA's 60th Anniversary. This years theme is A Diamond in the "Ruff". There will be Raffles, Food, Merchandise and fun! Gates open 10:45 AM to 4:00 PM. Main events wind down by 2:30pm.
All proceeds go to GDA. Sorry, only working service dogs and puppies-in-training may attend. Please leave your career-changed dogs and pets at home.
The days schedule includes:
Puppy Trials – 11:30-2pm
Guide Dog Demonstration – 1:00pm
Silent Auction closes @ 2:30pm
Tours (every 30 min)
