2nd Annual Somerton Beef and Beer
Plans are being made for this fall's Beef & Beer. This event is for ALL (basketball/soccer/baseball/football) SYO parents & their friends. Last year over $1200 was raised for SYO. We are currently soliciting donations for door prizes & raffle items. Contact Melanie O'Brien 215-416-5392 or Melanieob@comcast.net if you can help out!

The next time you see trash on the ground, pick it up. While waiting for your child to get done practice, lend a hand in the kitchen, clean a bathroom, pull weeds, or line a field. Any time that you can give will help make us a better Organization.
Tuesday, February 20
UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION
Due to the high amount of children that participated in sports this past year and have failed to register, SYO will enforce its existing policy to have ALL team members in ALL sports registered BEFORE uniforms are distributed.
Uniforms will be ordered through SYO. These players represent SYO, NOT 'John Pizza' or 'Joe Apparel' or any other establishment.
Any team that has not registered all of its players and collected the uniform fees for the entire team WILL NOT be given uniforms. Any team that buys their own uniform without SYO approval eill foreit their referee/umpire fees. If payment for uniforms or registration causes a financial hardship, please discuss this with either Bob Weller or Maria Carroll at registration time or call for a private registration. ALL registration info stays confidential.
Uniform distribution will be done at the clubhouse by appointment with the commissioner of the corresponding sport.

How Do Things Get Done
WE are a totally volunteer organization. Not one person involved in our program is paid for their "work". The board of directors, ground crew, kitchen help, gym maintenance crew, coaches etc. all donate their valuable time to helpmake us one of the most respected organizations in the area. Their names are too numerous to mention, but Thank you to everone who helps make Somerton what it is!
Age Policy
Simply stated, a child must play in his/her age bracket. The full policy is on the bulletin board in the clubhouse. The full policy is on the SYO Policy page on this web site.
ALL COACHES AND PARENTS
ALL COACHES AND PARENTS: UNIFORMS MUST BE RETURNED FOR SOCCER/FOOTBALL/BASKETBALL TRAVELING PLAYERS. PLACE IN A BAG WITH NAME AND TEAM AND RETURN TO CLUBHOUSE.
In the event of injury.
Parents are expected to be in attendance, or to have designated another adult to be responsible for your child.
