Somersworth won the 2008 Day of Service. We had over 60 employees, volunteers and parents doing much needed improvements to our fields.

The 2009 Softball Season is here!!!!
Parents, Grandparents, Siblings, School or Community Volunteers, High School Players are all welcome to help throughout the season. There are several volunteer opportunities required to make the softball experience exceptional for our players and to keep our program growing. Below are some of the volunteer opportunities that you and your family/friends can take part in:
o Coaching – head coach, assistant coach, bench coach or simply assisting with practices – we support “team” coaching
o Field Preparation & Maintenance – mowing, lining the fields, dragging fields after games
o Concession Stand – working in the stand during weekend or weekday games
o Team Parent – Mom’s or Dad’s are encouraged to help the coaches with coordination of events for the team during the seasonPlease spread the word – no prior softball experience needed! We look forward to another successful season.
The league welcomes girls between the ages of 4-16 from Somersworth, Rollinsford and the Berwicks. We are affiliated with the Babe Ruth Softball league. We are committed to developing young talent through the coaching and teaching of fundamental skills using positive reinforcement and most importantly, FUN!!
Since this is a volunteer league, we need the cooperation of many volunteers, donors and sponsors to continue to grow our league. We have grown to 13 teams and 3 All-Star teams. We have an established Board of Directors and we encourage parents to get involved and attend regularly scheduled board meetings to support their daughter’s athletic activities.
Volunteer activities can include; coaching, field preparation and maintenance, concession stand attendance, fund raising activities, donations, and much more.
