2009 Solon Stampede 10U
Wednesday, May 6
Kalahari Klassic Runners-Up
The Stampede recently finished a busy weekend with a runner-up finish at the Kalahari Klassic. Due to rain, the Stampede had to play three games on Saturday, going 3-0 in pool play. After a very good win in the semis vs. Strongsville Stallions White, the Stampede came up against a very good Beaver Valley Black team. The Stampede was not able to muster anything against Beaver Valley's #1, and lost a tough game. However, it was a great weekend, and everyone enjoyed themselves, and we were able to get some hardware out of it. Congrats boys!!!

2009 Puritas Early Bird Champions!!!
Congratulations to the Stampede on winning the Puritas Early Bird Championship. After beating the Olmsted Falls 9U and Fairview Warriors on Saturday, the Stampede had a long and draining day after.
The Stampede had to face a fantastic Stars team to reach the championship. After a quick 3-0, the Stampede fell behind for most of the game. The game ended up going into extra innings, where the boys put up six runs in the top of the inning, and ended up winning the game 13-8.
About a half hour later, the boys had to come back and play the Pittsburgh Diamond Dawgs. In an absolutely awesome 10 year old baseball game, the Stampede headed into the last inning up 5-4. The Diamond Dawgs loaded the bases with one out, but the boys made a sensational play in the field, followed by a strike out and heads up play to end the game. It was an awesome, awesome weekend of baseball where all 12 guys contributed to the victory.
Congrats boys!!!

Stampede Gets New Off-Season Home!!
Thanks to Zavarella Bros. Construction, as well the Stampede families, we are lucky enough to be training in our own facility this winter! The facility is located at the headquarters of the contruction company, which is right off of Aurora Rd. in Bedford. The exact address of the facility is: 5381 Erie St., Bedford, OH 44146.
Since we no longer have to pay for rental space, we will be able to practice a little more often (however, by no means will we be overdoing it). Practices will be from 4:30-6:30 at the warehouse every Sunday. Also, there is a chance we will have "open cage" sessions on Wednesday Night. I will have everything updated on "Schedules" section by Jan. 2.
