| I want to echo your comments about the poorly worded softball rule for obstruction in both ASA and PONY. NFHS got it right in 2006 by emphasizing the essential element of "impeding the runner" as a necessary component of obstruction. It's time for all softball codes to align when one organization "gets it right". |
