Welcome to the Soccer Village Website!

Soccer Village Foundation - Mission Statement

Soccer Village Foundation is a non-profit Tax Exemption 501 (c)(3)fundraising organization providing volunteer services throughout the metropolitan Phoenix Area to various entertainment and sporting venues in order to provide funding for youth athletic and educational activities that will enrich their lives and may aid in their personal success.

We have expanded our scholarship program to any sport. All you have to do is be between the ages of 7 -18, excel in the classroom and have a desire to participate in the sport of your choice or an extra-educational program.

Requirements: Fill out the Scholarship form, school report card, essay of 200 words or less on why you deserve to receive a scholarship from SV (Written by the applicant). Letter of recommendation (Written by the teacher, coach,school or pastor/priest etc)   


Our guiding principles are respect & strengthen the family. We believe in the importance of the individual young person and strive to commit to create a standard of excellence recognized by our vendors as superior.

To believe that integrity, principles and honesty are the foundation of a great life, and in harmony with our organization. Commitment of mutual trust between Soccer Village participants in order to enhance lives and dreams that may be achieved by our student athletes through fundraising opportunities!

Soccer Village is a non-profit fundraising organiztion providing volunteer services
to various venues throughout the Arizona Metropolitan Area selling food, drink or merchandise in concession stands without intention of receiving wages or benefits.

SV may also provide manpower and hours to various vendors for security, valet parking, and other guest services needed for special events.   

A donation will be provided to other 501C3 organizations, schools, or student athletic or college scholarship funds to support funding for youth athletic and educational activities. Some volunteers may volunteer and will be issued 1099's for thier service to the Org.

Board meetings typically are held on the third Monday of each month, and are open

         WELCOME TO THE SOCCER VILLAGE EVENT SITE!                
                                            

    Time Sheets

Timesheet information will be emailed to the  individual volunteers following an event to give the event volunteers an opportunity to make any corrections prior to payout of the event. It is the volunteer's responsibility to make any changes during this period by email to Laura Plank megakeepersmom@aol.com or Teri Slovek soccervillage@aol.com Once the donation payment is received from our client, the books for that event are considered closed and the corresponding donation to the event volunteers is distributed.  

An Event Time Sheet is required to be completed for each event.  The Lead for the particular event is responsible for completing the Event Date, Event Location, and Event Name fields.  Each volunteer is responsible for filling in their name, Sign-In and Sign-Out Times, and the Hours worked fields.  Sign-In and Sign-Out Times should be in military time, using a 24-hour clock, such as 10:00 for 10:00 AM and 22:00 for 10:00 PM.

Information on the volunteer hours worked, the jobs paid, and the donations paid can be emailed to the volunteers who worked that respective event on request.   

                            General Event Information
As a volunteer you will work at various venues throughout the Metropolitan Phoenix area selling food, drink or merchandise in concession stands, or providing security services to various venues. Depending on the time of year, Soccer Village has negotiated contracts at Suns Basketball Games & concerts held at US Airways, Diamondback games, FBR Golf Tournament,Country Thunder USA, NASCAR racing,Universal Pictures,along with Major League Baseball Spring Training games, Arizona State University athletic games, and Westworld events such as the Good Guys Auto show & Cirque de Soliel, Barrett Jackson Auto shows to name just a few, along with the new Cardinal Football stadium venue!

                             New Volunteer Registration
You will need to provide a personal profile that includes: Volunteer name, address, phone numbers (home, work, cell), e-mail address, your child’s name, the fund or organization checks will be made payable to, whether you have your food handlers card and TIPS training. Send to Teri at soccervillage@aol.com After you are successfully registered, you are allowed to sign-up for as many events as you wish as long as volunteer space is available. The events will be filled on first come, first serve basis!

                              Volunteer Initial Training
Prior to your first event you will be required to have a Food Handler’s Card which is issued by Maricopa County Environmental Services. Visit their website at www.maricopa.gov/envsvc/envhlth/fdwkr.asp to obtain information about testing sites (there are four throughout greater Phoenix), download the study guide, ‘Sanitation Techniques for the Food Service Worker’. The cost involved is $12.00 (unless you identify yourself as working on a ‘volunteer’ basis, in which case the fee is waived). A copy should be faxed to (602)765-PLAY.

                             SECURITY CLASS INFO
Cost is $74 and is good for 2 years!
Plese e-mail me if your interested. Having a license allows you to have the "Cream of the Crop" positions and a donation hike increase over Non-Licensed volunteers!
You will need the following at the end of the class - a money order or cashier's check made out to DPS (Dept. of Public Safety)

                 Volunteer On-The-Job Training
When you work your first event you will be matched up with an experienced volunteer who will guide you through the duties and responsibilities for that event.

                             Volunteer Donations
Volunteers at Soccer Village, Provide time and effort without intention of receiving wages or benefits. A donation will be provided to your 501C3 organization of choice, schools, or athletic or college scholarship fund. If a check is made payable to an individual then Soccer Village Inc. will be issuing a 1099 form and you will be responsible to file taxes with the IRS. Check with your tax accountant for further individual instructions & direction.
