We are a U12 girls recreational soccer team from Northern Kentucky playing in the Boone County Youth Soccer Association. This fall was our 3rd season playing at the U12 age level and we were focused on improving after a couple of heartbreaking losses in the medal round of the Bluegrass Games over the summer. Improving we did, we were undefeated and untied in regular season play and didn’t even give up a goal, we ended up being 7-0.
We just competed in the annual Boone County Nightmare Tournament, a tournament in which we have won the past 4 years straight. Even though we are a U12 team we decided to play up in age (U14) in the tournament in order to face stiffer competition. We knew we would face stronger, faster, and more experienced players by playing up in age and the only way we could be competitive was to play some of the best team soccer ever. We played extremely well and ended up being champions once again, it was an awesome experience for everyone.
THE ALL-STAR PHILOSOPHY
The team is dedicating to enriching the lives of the players (and parents) using the game of soccer. The team foundation consists of a few simple goals:
1. Having fun
2. Developing individual soccer skills and team tactics for each player and have them get a taste of playing all positions if possible
3. Developing good sportsmanship
4. Rewarding hard work and dedication
