  Strength & Conditioning  
 

The mission of the Bishop Snyder High School strength and conditioning program is to provide a safe and positive training environment that allows coaches and student-athletes to work together towards developing the full physical and mental potential of each student-athlete. The staff will design and implement year round training programs that increase each student-athletes level of strength, power, speed, agility, sport-specific endurance, and flexibility. Strength training programs will combine traditional weight training exercises with explosive Olympic lifts. All core weight training exercises will be free-weight, ground-based, and multi-joint oriented. Speed, agility, and conditioning programs are administered throughout specific phases of the year. This movement oriented part of the program helps develop each student-athletes speed, quickness, explosiveness, and endurance. Foot-speed drills, agility work, and upper and lower body plyometrics are combined with resisted and overspeed running. Objectives of the Bishop Snyder High School strength and conditioning program are to minimize the risk of injury and enhance physical parameters while improving sport performance.
