In 2005 Jeff Lefeld became the only repeat winner of the Squires Scholarship. Jeff also won the award in 2004.
Can a dude get some love?
Kyle Hoyng, a past champion, had the Least Valuable Player on his team 2 years in a row. In 2004 he was teamed up with Joe Huwer and Trent Gerlach, who were co-LVPs, and in 2005 he had Keith Kessen who managed to set a record for strikeouts in a game and tournament.

In 2006, Tyler Vogel was the first person to wear sunglasses during tournament play.

Bros before Hoes
After abandoning his team during tournament play in 2006 to be with his girlfriend, Nick Rengers was given a minimum one year ban from participating in the tournament. He joins Jason Bruns as the only two people to be officially banned from tournament play. Nick sat out the 2007 tournament and was re-instated in 2008, while Jason has been given a lifetime ban.

Kyle Hoyng is the first married wiffleballer to win an MVP and a championship. Kyle took home the 2008 championship with his brother, Kevin, and Tyler James.

Kevin and Kyle Hoyng are the first set of brothers to win the Mullaney Cup. They teamed with Tyler James in 2008 to take home the title.

In 2008 Tyler Vogel became the first back-to-back and 2-time winner of the Least Valuable Player Award. In 2008 he was the only player without a home run hit or a run scored.
