Kris is a graduate of Meadowdale High School where she was a 12 year letter winner playing soccer, basketball and track. She participated at the state level in track all 4 years and was a state champion her senior year.
Kris received a scholarship to attend Central Washington University. While at CWU she excelled in track and was an All- American Heptathlete. She graduated with a Masters Degree in Education and has been teaching at Marysville Middle School for 16 years.
The last 7 of those years she has been the Athletic Coordinator. She has 8 years experience coaching middle school level volleyball and 16 years experience coaching track and field.
Kris has been coaching with the Smokey Point Volleyball Club for three years.
Kris has been married for 15 years to Steve and they have two children (Mariah-13 and Alex-11).
