2013 U16 Team: Viper News
Scrimmage Night
The U-16 Vipers participated in a scrimmage tonight against various teams from Fusion and Northshore. All in all I would say the girls did quite well! They headed out to a slow start against one of the Northshore 15 teams, but stepped it up to another level against the Northshore 18s. Their 3rd scrimmage was in-house against the Vipers own 18s which was a great match to watch! The 16's ended their night against Fusion 16s which was a good well fought match, but one in which the Vipers brought their A game.
I can't wait to see how they do on Seeding Day, so much potential from this team is exposed everytime they come together!

Everett Community College Tournament
The Vipers worked hard all day while luckily being close to home!
With a great start to the morning the team was able to power through to the afternoon on a winning streak.
After a lengthy break where the Viper gals assisted in any means possible with a girl on the other team who was injured we got back to playing. Their streak continued into the evening headed into the semi-finals 4-0!
In a tough loss in the semi's the Vipers left taking 3rd place. They fought hard and in the end stamina won.

Power League #1
As a first bout with Power-League the Vipers headed to Kent-Meridian to compete in Flight #4!
We have a roller coaster of a day winning then losing matches and just couldn't seem to find our groove. Although the girls did not move up a Flight they walked away with 2 well fought wins!

Power League #2
With the blessing of being in our home gym the Vipers might have slept in a little too long! We had a slow start to the morning losing our first 2 games but picked it up to end the afternoon 3-0!
The vipers took some pretty strong wins and had some awesome stats to back it up! Some leaders for the weekend were:
Kaylie with 11 kills on the day, 6 alone were in the last match
Sydney was right up there with Kaylie racking in 18 kills all day hitting 49%
Olivia served her team into the lead multiple times with 11 aces
Keep checking in for more Vipers updates!

Lake Tapps Pres. Day Tourney
The Vipers struggled to get started in the morning with a pool play showing 0-3. Once that afternoon kicked in (and lunch) they turned things around and went 3-0 in brackets! 16's place 1st in Silver and made the games nice and quick!
Some highlights from our weekend include a showing from our currently injured player Madelyn as well as some of the following stats:
Sydney hit a whooping 58% with 29 kills on that day, she added to this with 8aces
Julian was one of our top serves at 97% she missed one serve all day
Juliana got up 11 times to block during the tournament, 5 of which were play ending
Vipers have Power League next on March 2nd, keep checking in for more updates!!
