Smokey Point Volleyball Club: About Us
Our Mission
Smokey Point Volleyball Club (also referred to as Viper Volleyball, Viper Volleyball Program or Smokey Point Vipers), in partnership with 360 Athletics, which is a Not For Profit organization, committed to the introduction, development & promotion of youth athletics. Our focus is to offer programs for all sports, including the sport of volleyball, for the young people of North Snohomish County and give them the opportunity to play competitive sports, and promote the sport of volleyball to both boys and girls, which will allow them the opportunity to be competitive in both the high schools and the college environment, if they choose.
We are committed to the growth and development of our athletes, not only as athletes but also as strong students and productive citizens in our communities. We see it as our responsibility to create a positive learning environment that will push our athletes to go far beyond where or what they believed they could accomplish on their own. We will give them a safe and positive place for them to learn on their own about dealing with defeat, conflict resolution, leadership and becoming a positive role model. By their example, all these things will make them strong, productive and contributing citizens in our community.
Our goal is to give our athletes quality court time, great coaching, and tough competition. We are committed to this goal in a very competitive & positive learning environment, which can only be possible with all players, parents and coaches playing their appropriate roles and working together. It is also our goal that our athletes shall understand the true meaning of being a teammate. Each team member must commit to achieving a common team goal. Personal sacrifice may be necessary as individual desires are put aside for the good of the team’s success.
For a team to achieve championship status, each member must make a commitment to excellence. Each athlete must continuously test their limitations to realize their full potential. Dedicating themselves to training toward jumping higher, hitting harder, moving faster, and continuously improving in all facets of the game, will pave the road to team success. As each athlete develops his or her skills individually, the team develops trust in one another, and the team develops the tools to play at a higher level.
