Information on Smoke Home Games  

Location & Directions

  • Schott Stadium is located east of the majority of Santa Clara's athletic facilities at the intersection of El Camino Real and Campbell Avenue across from the Leavey Center..

From Interstate 280:

  • From Highway 280, take the I-880/17 connector towards Oakland. From I-880, take the Alameda exit. After making a left turn at the stop light off the exit, follow the Alameda for approximately one mile and the campus will come into view on your left. The Alameda veers right into El Camino Real. Make a right onto Campbell Avenue and Schott Stadium will be on the right.

 

From Interstate 880:

  • From Interstate 880, take the Alameda exit. Make a right onto The Alameda and proceed for about one mile. The campus will come into view on your left. The Alameda veers right into The El Camino Real. Make a right onto Campbell Avenue and Schott Stadium will be on the right.

 

From Highway 101:

  • From Highway 101, take the De La Cruz Boulevard exit. Follow the signs to Santa Clara, veering to the right at the San Jose/Santa Clara split. Make a right turn on Lafayette. From Lafayette, make a right on the El Camino Real. Follow the El Camino for about one half mile and pass the main entrance. The next light will be Campbell Avenue. Make a left and Schott Stadium will be on the right.

Seating & Tickets

  • The fixed seating capacity of Schott Stadium is 1,460 with the facility featuring a capacity of more than 1,500. The fixed seating in the facility consists of 470 individual 20 to 22-inch wide theater-style seating and 990 bleacher seats.
  • Tickets for Smoke games are $5 Adult and $3 Students under 12/Seniors over 62 and Military with ID.
  • We will have water, gatorade, candy, seeds/peanuts, powerbars and chips for sale. We are not allowing use of seeds or peanuts in the facility unless you spit into a cup.  We ask that all spectators do not leave food under their seats but use the trash receptacles.  We do not allow outside food in the facility (exception for players playing in a Doubleheader).

Gates Open

  • The gates will open one (1) hour prior to the first pitch to our visiting team and spectators.  Please do not arrive early as our gate personnel will not allow you in.

Field Dimensions

  • 340 feet to left, 375 feet to left center, 400 feet to center, 385 to right center and 335 feet to right.

Field Surface

  • The grass is a Bluegrass-Rye Blend. The apron behind home plate from the first base side to the third base dugout consists of FieldTurf, synthetic grass fibers that are surrounded and stabilized by a special blend of "synthetic earth" - FieldTurf's patented mixture of smooth, rounded silica sand, rubber granules, and NIKE GRIND made of re-ground athletic shoe material.

Lights

  • Musco "Level 8." Eight towers (two 100'; two 90'; and four 80') containing 158 1500-watt metal halide luminaries light the playing field and four areas.

Prohibited Items

  • Alcohol
  • Animals (except service animals)
  • Balls and frisbees
  • Banners, signs and poles
  • Bicycles, roller blades and skateboards
  • Outside Food (we will sell water and snacks). Players that are participating in a DH may bring a cooler of drinks and lunch.  No outside food allowed in the stands.
  • Glass containers
  • Horns and any artificial nose makers 
  • Lawn furniture (in seated areas)
  • Strollers (in seated areas)
  • Umbrellas (there is overhang for spectators wishing to be out of the direct sun)
  • Weapons and any dangerous items
  • Distribution of any unauthorized material is prohibited

    Smoking is prohibited.

Restrooms

  • Women's and men's restrooms are in the main plaza area.

Scoreboard

  • A state-of-the-art Daktronics scoreboard/videoboard is located in left centerfield.
