FAll BALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN - REGISTER ON-LINE!!
Fall Ball registration is now open on-line. Visit our website for a link to registration. www.eteamz.com/smnyo. Fall ball is for Rookies, Majors, Minors and Juniors. Registration is $40 and the season starts around September 1st and ends around November 1st. All games are played weekdays at Chancellor’s Run Regional Park. Fall ball is a great way to build on your skills in a low-key fun atmosphere.
Fun Day
We will host fun day again this year. Fun day will be held on Saturday, May 30th at Cecil Park starting at 10:00 am, ending around 2:00 pm. Fun day will consist of skills contests (pitching, hitting, base running) with prizes for the top contestants in each age bracket. We will serve hot dogs and hamburgers to the players and have concessions available for family members. You can come for an hour, or stay all day.
Pictures
The pictures from Lifetouch should have all arrived to the coaches by now. I have heard and seen that there are several misprints, mix-ups and missing photos. If you have received pictures that you can obviously see they go to another team please contact that coach to do a hand off. If there are errors that can be corrected by a reprint, please contract Lifetouch directly. There should be a blue piece of paper in your package with the contact information. The number to call is 410.644.7700 or 800.445.1189. They have promised to work with the League to resolve all issues.
If a reprint will not solve your problem, you are dissatisfied for any other reason, or you missed picture day there will be a make up photo session on Saturday, May 30th at Cecil Park starting at 10:00 am.
Skills Camps
As this season progresses; SMNLL would like to continue to build and enhance the skills of our developing players through the use of skills development camp. The use of skills development camps will ensure our players are ready to make the move to the next higher level or league for the year to come. The skills camp will be divided into the following age categories:
10 and 11: Minors advancing to Majors
11 and 12: Majors becoming team leaders
12 and 13: Majors advancing to Juniors
The first skills camp will be held for the 11 and 12 year olds at Lancaster Park, field four on Wednesday, May 20 at 5:30. This skills camp should not interfere will regularly scheduled team practices. There will be more dates to follow as the season continues. This is a great opportunity to get all of our 11 and 12 year olds on the field at the same time and allow our players to develop and work together as a cohesive team. Attendance is not mandatory but highly encouraged.
Stay tuned for dates of the 12 year old and 10 year old skills camps.
