Aspaas appeared in two games in the season's first week, the first in a relief appearance vs. Incarnate Word in the season-opener on Tuesday and the other in a start Saturday against New Mexico Highlands. ... In the start against Highlands, Aspaas went 6 2/3 innings (7-inning game), allowing six hits and two runs (0 earned) while walking just one batter and striking out 8 as he picked up the victory. ... In Tuesday's 11-inning season-opening win at UIW, Aspaas threw three innings of scoreless relief, giving up just one hit and one walk while striking out a pair of Cardinals.

Ellis Lowe Goes to Campbell University~!

Ellis graduated in 2007 from San Marcos High School. He is Freshman at Campbell University located in North Carolina playing baseball for the Camels. Best Wishes Ellis!

"Freshman Ellis Lowe and Hamme headed the Camels’ offensive attack as they both had a pair of hits in the contest. Lowe smoked a double and grabbed his 16th multi-hit performance of the season, while Hamme notched his team-leading 18th."

Lowe Claims All-Freshman Honors; Baseball Set for A-Sun Tournament
Campbell, in search of its first-ever A-Sun conference tournament championship, recently added a notch on its belt as freshman second baseman Ellis Lowe was named to the Atlantic Sun All-Freshman team, the league office announced today.
Lowe, a native of San Diego, Ca., started all but one game at second base this season and was Campbell’s only player to be recognized in the leagues postseason awards. One of Campbell’s most consistent hitters this season, Lowe carried a team-high 16 game hitting streak from March 20 to April 9 and was second on the team in batting average (.336) and hits (71). Lowe, who recorded at least one hit in 44 games this season, grabbed eight doubles and 22 RBI and was also one of five Camel players to swipe ten or more bags.

Was a second-team All-Valley League pitching for coach Desi Herrera at San Marcos High School as a senior during the 2005 season. ... Won back-to-back games in the San Diego Lions Tournament. . ... Was 7-5 as a senior with a 3.25 earned run average and 75 strikeouts. Best Wishes Cameron!


Terry Moritz Plays for Cal State Univ San Marcos 2008

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for coach Eric Morton at San Marcos High School, graduating in 2000. ... Was first-team all-league, batting .305 with 8 home runs. ... Also played four years of high school football. Terry played for the Comets at Palomar Junior College in 2005 and is currently playing for the Cougars at CSUSM for the 2008 season. Mike helped Knights reach the 2001 CIF-San Diego Section Division I semifinals. ... Also was selected as San Marcos' Outstanding Linebacker in football and played two years of varsity basketball.
