We'll here goes from an Alumn (class of 1996). My senior year our team went 8-1. We didn't have a chance to play for a State Championship as we were stripped of our chances of getting in the playoffs due to a cheating scandal (the first team of the season we beat used illegal players). The only loss of the season (16-14 loss) came to the team that won the State Championship.
Why am I writing this email...so that you NEVER quit. I take pride in SMCC football and I hope you understand what you're up against...TIME. This may be your final game, your final chance to win a Championship. This game may well come down to the final play...the final seconds. If the ball is up in the air-get in! If the ball is on the ground-get it! There are many former Falcons that didn't have a chance to play in the playoffs and now it's up to you. Make us proud.
As legendary Coach Sandersen preached "Get off the ball." It's been 18 years since the Falcons have won a championship.

| Congrats to Michael, T.J. and Coach Giarmo for taking home the honors... that was for the regular season however... it starts all over tonight and you have to earn everyone's respect all over again. Good Luck Falcons! |

| As we prepare to give thanks it's time to reflect on how blessed we truly are. I hope everyone has taken the time to think about this years journey. How through hard work, determination, and dedication the season will end Friday at Ford Field. This years Seniors, will for the last time strap it up in Green and Gold. I hope they take the time to soak it all in, smell the roses, look into each others eyes and realize they are a "Band of Brothers". For the last time they get to play for each other and together, what a legacy these Seniors leave behind. Let me be the first to say they are Champions in all our eyes! To the Team I say how proud the community is of you, you're an inspiration to all of us. Enjoy the experience of a lifetime Friday!.............YOU'VE EARNED IT!! |
