Super Slam Ball: Welcome
Online registration for the Arlington Wolves t-ball league(2008 fall season) is now currently open. The season is scheduled to start on September 13th and will run for 6 weeks. The last week will be on 10/18/08.
Registration is $70. The max cap per family is $110. The ages of the participants for the program are 3-6, the league will be divided mostly by age, with two divisions(American and National). Your age is determined as of 5/1/09. The times of the games are 3:3:45pm, 4-4:45pm and 5:5:45pm. Refer a friend and receive a $10 discount!
Why do we encourage kids to signup with the Arlington Wolves t-ball/coach pitch program?
The 45 minute session is awesome! The first half of the session, kids work on hand-eye coordination through repetition and practice from fielding and hitting. There is one optional practice during the week for each team. The last half of the session features game play. Everyone runs the bases accordingly and nobody gets out, it's based on a point system. If a batter hits the ball into the Pugs soccer net, which is stationed in the field, it's an automatic homerun! Singles are worth one point, doubles are worth two, triples worth three and homeruns are worth four!
Defensive points are also awarded! If a player fields the ball and places the ball into the box, which is also stationed on the field and before the runner reaches base, the defensive team and player earns a point. Three points are awarded for a put out or force out. The game is noncompetitive, therefore there is no "accumulative score". Everyone enjoys running the bases and has fun playing Super Slam Ball! The bases are positioned at 40-45 feet. What amenities are provided for the kids? How does this program seperate from any other t-ball program?
