St. Margaret's Bay Baseball Association: Rookie Info

Season:
Site will be updated after registration dates in April 2006.
- Starts in early July and runs until late August, schedule will be posted in mid June.
- Please check the 'Schedules' link for the rookie schedule.
- Teams will play once either on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings on the Allen Heights field, consisting of a 20 minute practice then a 45 minute game.
- A pitching machine will be used with a limited number of pitches per batter. After 5 pitches the batter goes to first base.
- Teams consist of 8-10 players
- Everyone bats each inning
- Game consists of 3 or 4 inning game
- No catchers
- No stealing
- No leaning off base until ball is put in play
- Team-shirt provided
- Year end Tournament with Hammonds Plains, Pizza/Medal party
- Game times Friday @6:30pm, Saturday @10am
Requirements:
- Glove
- Ball Hat
- Jockey Cup/Jill Strap (wear at all practices and games)
- Water Bottle
- Bug Spray/Sun Lotion (Apply before heading to ballfield)
- Team-shirt to be worn at all games
- No metal cleats or spikes allowed
- Helmets will be provided and must be worn.
- Volunteers needed to Help out!!!
Parents:
- Parents are asked to cheer with encouragement as this is supposed to be a fun experience for the kids.
