LITTLE LEAGUE TOURNAMENT
The Sackville Acadians Little League team played in 44th Annual Amherst Invitational Tournament over the Labour Day Weekend. There were 6 teams from Nova Scotia and 3 from the USA participating. During round robin play the Acadians went 2-1. They beat Sydney 6-4 in a tough crossover game. The Acadians advanced to the championship game for the first time in 27 years. They lost to Marlboro, USA in the championship game but proudly went home with their silver medals. Congratulations to all the Acadian players and their coaches, Stephen Luciano, Glenn MacQuarrie and Leonard Thomson, for a job well done!
